Shoot-em up fans will love this game.

Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer is a great shooter for the PS3. At first it looks kinda simple, but its not simple at all. You will be bombarded by a number of different aliean space ships and crazy huge boss fights. There is a nice little level up system but it takes a long time to gain enough so you can live and keep fighting. You start out with two weapons, your regular shot like a machine gun, and then a beam, looks like lightning. Both are pretty weak, you need to grab as many powerups as you can, and some dont do anygood at all. The spread shot is the best one, but it takes 4 of them till your really strong. Theres also fast shot, point power ups, health, sheild damagers, kinda like x2 damage, rockets flame throwers and beam shots are other weapons you unlock, but those dont really do any good, rockets are good against a boss, and thats about it. Each level has cool techno type music, and sound effects are pretty cool. But for this game you need to be on your toes, cause you never know if the background is gona hurt you or if its really in the "background" kinda hard to tell, I do like this game, its a nice arcade shooter, but it takes a while to get used to.
