SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation User Review
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation is a great game, but definitely not the ultimate multiplayer experience on the PS3.

Confrontation is one of the most underrated games I've played. After about 2 years or so after the games original release. Most of the technical glitches and bugs that made so many critics turn down Confrontation, have been fixed up to reveal a great looking game. Each of the textures look smooth with no real roughness to them. The character models look exactly like the textures, good. The character model's weapons, gear, and armor look real authentic to the image in which the game is try to capture, the military hence the title of the game. Each of the different locales that you can play on look really industrial and have a nice presence to them, that fits the game well.
All of your weapons sound like what they should definitely sound like,a gun. Each of the sound effects from the sound of how your pellets of gun fire cling off a metal wall,to the grizzled commands and taunts of you or your fellow team mates online.
Confrontation's over all game play captures the real essence of SOCOM,even though other human players can choose to or not to follow your commands,it doesn't take anything away from the core game play. The game has absolutely no campaign, its all multiplayer. You get your standard modes of team death match(TDM),and death match(DM).There also a bit more modes that are all interesting and all,but you'll usually be playing your standard fare of TDM & DM.Customization is also available in this game, that allows you to alter your chracters gear, and weapons. Its not that deep, but its cool. The game is a fun experience, and one fans will most likely come back too until the next installment of SOCOM is released.
The only downside to Confrontation, would have to be the fact that the game doesn't allow respawns. Some might like it that way because of the realism it adds, but others like me think its just a frustrating aspect about the game that really just takes you out of the match you were playing in.Though there is a way to play with respawns, but those types of matches are unranked, its better than having to wait the rest of the match whatching your corpse lie there, but its just an over all frustrating factor for me.
Final Verdict:If your a SOCOM fan of any sort, now is the time to go ahead and pick up your copy.If your just your standard gamer though, this is still an excellent game to add to your collection.

I don't have much experience on online multiplayer, but dam... this game is fun. So fun I bought two copies of the game!
