GDC 2010: GameSpot Live checks out SOCOM played with the PlayStation Move at Sony's press event.
frame-drops, hope they fix that
The worst interviewer ever
@K-Grogg go check out the playstation sharp shooter should make you happy
@JohnnyRehn They only should one part of the game, there are probably other parts of the game with stealth, so no need to worry.
I loled when Homer said the Wiimote, then the Wii Move. Back to the vid, I enjoyed SOCOM back on the PS2, sadly, I don't have a PS3 to enjoy this....:(
Also, video doesn't work. Just saying. GS, get on this crap.
They really need to make a gun type attachment for the Move controller, because pointing to shoot feels so awful, I did it on my Wii when I still used that thing, and it felt so wrong, you need to feel like you're holding a gun, or it feels just as unimmersive as aiming with a controller.
Dumb. I'd rather just stick with the crosshairs in the center of the screen.
i hated shooters on the wii i will stick with dualshock controller.
Geez! Just look at Socom 2 and model it exactly like that! Screw Playstation Move....
@IAMADEUM Did you forget to turn your brain on? "if it's anything like this DEMO" Did you watch the video? They're playing offline. Slant Six = Subpar developers. Zipper = Socom
im glad that zipper is coming back for socom4 i dis liked what slant six had done with confrontation with the whole armor values and the sprinting and taking away of guns. but iamadeum it was only a demo im sure that it will look better then that when it comes out
Zipper might bring offline play back, but the graphics and playability of this game will be horrible if it's anything like this demo shows...They should've stayed with Slant Six...
this new controller is stupid Sony's way to bring in more cash SOCOM died when the PS2 died
I played Socom years ago and it was a great game. Theres just so many FPS war games that its difficult to choose which one you want to play cause you can't play them all or you get burned out. Maybe i'll switch to Socom from Bad company or COD.
Hope they can bring back the glory of Socom of 1 and 2.
nothing special, they should make some kind of star wars game, i'd like to use playstation move as lightsaber
This looks good, I suppose.
I've never played a socom game, but this game looks interesting. It might take a bit of time getting used to the wand.
SOCOM rocks :)
LOL Funny how Homer referred to the Move as the Wiimote!
A COVER SYSTEM!? this already looks better than Confrontation. Using the playstation move is pretty inovative though.
This is something, Which is great. 2 ways to play a same game, Imagine the possibilities of replayability
It looks really uncomfortable...
haha, the guy playing at the end is Nacho Ortiz from spanish website www.meristation.com looks nice!
Haha, oh, Homer... keeps calling it a Wii remote... hmm... maybe there's a reason for that? *raises eyebrow*
I guess that's pretty good for those who like shooters... we'll probably have to wait till E3 or something if we want to hear news about great games from OTHER genres.
Either the AI enemies are pushovers who can't hit the broad side of a barn in this demo or the player character has been rendered invincible.
Now this is a GameSpot dude I hardly see - if ever.
A wait and see...
I duno, i was hoping it will be even more precise ya know , this the third thing after Wii controller, wii motion+ it really needs to be more precise from what i just saw ...
I reaaally hope that you charge the bloody thing with the USB and NOT another expensive supply of AAs ....
well, you can't really blame him for mistaking it for Wii move now can ya ?
Wow... can Homer get anything more wrong? He forgets the Socom guys name... calls it a Wii move and basically seems unprepared and rushing like he's double parked and needs to run out to feed the meter. I'm into Socom 4.. but don't care about this 'Move' or any of these new motion sensing gimmicks.
I haven't played a Socom game in awhile but I thought it was more tactical, he looks like he's just kind of running around in the open getting shot at at close range.
My friend is crazy about SOCOM. I'm not :)
i'll pass on the ps move and just stick to what works, the DS3 controller and Socom 4.
Looks great, I am looking forward to this
Man Can't wait to play it :D
I just want my copy of socom 4. So I can own online.
and again he called it wii move.
Looks cool.
you know this is the second interview when they mistook the playstation move for the wii. i think they are doing it on purpose to make fun of sony :)
it sometimes makes me feel that this is jus another pointing device, but still looks good.
forgets the name of the guy he is interviewing, forgets the name of the product. . this guy is pro.
Looks like an booring game.. no stealth ?!
Looks so much better than the Wii's controllers. Looks more Veteran Gamer style. Now different colours! the usual red, blue, so on. The SOCOM4 with Move looks pretty good, I'd play with it for like the first few months or something but I know I'll move back to the controller afterwards and play SOCOM with with Move from time to time.
