Wow, I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I played this game. I've been a SOCOM fan since S1, and all I can say is Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!.
Zipper changed the formula and in my honest opinion took the series in reverse. Graphics are okay at best, "new" controls feel like COD, cover system is clunky, no grenade arc so good luck trying to land a target, and get ready for this...NO SIDEARM!, that's right ladies and gentlemen, a military combat game with no pistols. Most of the characters have pistols on their drop holsters, so I'm at a loss of words on that one.
I was really hoping for a match to the all powerful SOCOM II, but was left with a generic Call of Duty that was still missing features. There is nothing I would like to do more than not play this game. I still haven't found an actual Navy Seal in the game. The art direction for this game was a complete mouth fart.
