A Fun Sequel that Forgets the Original

User Rating: 8.5 | Snoopy Flying Ace X360
I love Snoopy as the Flying Ace. A dog that thinks he can fly a doghouse and it somehow turns into a World War One bi-plane is just right for me. This game lets Snoopy live out his fantasy as the World War One Flying Ace. The gamer goes along with Snoopy as he embarks on a strange adventure through similar environments, accomplishing tasks that seem silly at times, but are also cute.

What was endearing about the first game is lost here, Snoopy uses real weapons, not silly ones and his health never regenerates. As the gamer, you are also fighting against the rest of the Peanuts gang, instead of with them. The story also lacks any real driving force, but it is an Arcade-style game, so I imagine that's not expected entirely.

Overall, if you love Snoopy, you have to get this game. The game play and controls are actually a challenge, so I'd argue, for a flying game, it's quite good, but as a Peanuts game, it really doesn't incorporate what's endearing about Peanuts as its predecessor did. I enjoyed the game and got it at a decent price, so I'm happy to have it, but I wish they'd done more with it.
