It's a game you want to love, but makes you hate it.

The tutorial section for the game left me with high hopes. It gave a good explanation of the shooting mechanics and it was downright fun when you were hiding from the other soldiers.

The shooting in this game is AMAZING. I love it. It's challenging and thoughtful.

The sound was good and the visuals weren't too bad. Overall, it was shaping up to be a pretty sweet game.....but once I stepped out of the tutorial and into the missions, I was proven wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.

The game is so rife with bugs that any enjoyment quickly becomes impossible.

None of the foliage is actually attached to the ground, it just floats a few inches above it. When you go prone behind a log, it's floating high enough above you and enemies can shoot you under it. Another time I had to jump up onto a set of stairs because it wasn't attached to the ground.

There are invisible walls where there shouldn't be. At one point I couldn't get all the way up a set of stairs because of an invisible barrier. There was no other way to proceed and, after about 10 minutes of trying various approaches, I managed to jump around it.

Swimming is a disaster. I swam through a large section of deep water with my gun still in my hands. When I got to the shore the swimming animation finally loaded, my gun disappeared and the game was making swimming noises while I walked.

The enemies are fairly stupid, yet they have super keen senses that would make your average super hero jealous. They can detect you when you're laying still, behind cover and dozens of feet away.

Every time I was able to start getting into the single-player campaign, a major bug or glitch got in the way. I wanted to love this game, I really did. It had so much potential and really drew me in at the start. But the excellent shooting can only outweigh so much....

Hopefully all of the technical issues will be addressed in the upcoming sequel.

My recommendation: If you are interested in this game, try before you buy!
