TL:DR version:
Decent shooter, poor sniper game.
Pretty decent gfx, runs well on PC.
Somewhat problematic sound design. The text that describes objectives is VERY vague which makes listening to the spotter
and the radio comms extremely important. But, a lot of the time the volume is not balanced and the spotter/radio voice is lost
behind the other game sounds, like guard chatter, which is very loud when one takes into account the distances. If you can hear
their every exhalation at such distance then they should be able to easily hear you reload your weapon, or when you go splashing
through water at full sprint not 50 meters away.

Long version:
Like many supposedly sniper games in the past this one falls into the exact same trap. It's essentially an every-day first-person-shooter
where the enemies are a little bit further away and the guns have been fitted with scopes. That's it... simply another title that fails to
realize what the main draw of being a sniper is in the first place. A sniper is the scalpel of the armed forces. A sniper must analyze the
battlefield in order to determine when, where, how and even IF to engage the enemy. Sending a sniper into a tunnel is plain stupid,
not being able to chose your angle and position of attack, because the levels are slightly widened tunnels, removes all of the more
important bits of sniper work. Basically turning the sniper into another grunt, one who's carrying extra weight because of the scope.
A lot of the time in this game I saw no reason to use the rifle at all... most of the kills are close range, either pistol or even melee.
Another bit that I feel rides on the previously mentioned failure to provide appropriate sniper environment is the actual mission design.
Sending a sniper in to wipe out an enemy camp is retarded! If you're wiping everyone out drop a bomb! Send in a couple of choppers
if you want to make it more personal. But not a sniper! Snipers are not tools for clean-up operations... Essentially a sniper shouldn't
fire more then a couple of shots on a mission at all, unless things are going down the drain... and this is exactly where Sniper Ghost
Warrior 2 is going. At this point I am not looking forward to any further products from City Interactive, regardless of their claims of
"perfecting" their games over multiple years of previous releases. As a sniper game this one fails on every count.

If you're a fan of the currently popular first-person-shooter titles(CoD, Battlefield, Crysis, etc) and you always try to play the sniper
in those titles then this game may work for you. If you're looking for a more tactical approach to the battlefield then this game fails
miserably.
