Do you think another developer would try and continue the series, maybe after another long wait? Or would it just die off? And what about Sanzaru? Would they have any continued success, or would they turn out to be one hit wonders? Obviously, these are questions nobody really knows the answers to, but I'm curious about what you guys think would happen in a worst case scenario.

Well, hopefully, if there couldn't make another game, they would release a DLC to kind of tie up the loose ends, but who knows...? All we can do it flock it to everyone we know and hope and pray for another game.

We waited about 7 years for this game... I think we'll be fine

If sales are good enough we should get a sequel, but Sony has to learn to market the games that actually need the marketing. Uncharted 3 was a big release and didn't need nearly as many ads as it got, people knew about it. Just today I had to explain to someone that Sly 4 is actually out now. I don't get it. They price it at $40 in an attempt to increase sales, but don't advertise in the slightest so people don't know about it. If sales aren't good enough, I hate to say it but I think this series will be swept under the rug.

If your accuracy is over 10%, you're trying too hard.

^ He's pondering a worst-case scenario, though. We're all hoping for another game.
Worst-case scenario? I don't know. I think of the Jak and Crash series and how they've been ignored this generation. I reckon platformers other than Mario have a hard time gaining traction in today's market. So considering that, maybe we should be content we got a Sly 4 at all.

As pissed as I am about Penelope turning evil for no good reason, I'll be double-peeved if we don't get a Sly 5.
...If only because it offers a slim hope of Penelope's redemption.

We call that the "Stupid Jerkface" outcome. Somebody did that to me, I'd skin 'em and stew 'em with some taters.
We'll all find our sacrifice tomorrow, and journey on towards a brighter day...

All they would need is ten nuclear weapons in the kiloton range, disguised as Girl Scouts.

I thought that she vanished due to Time Travel - as of her ancestor has ceasing to existing, she just disappeared. (I know that Ben still has the image, but still...)

Considering Sony's complete incompetence where marketing is concerned, I would be SHOCKED if this sells enough copies to warrant another sequel.
Even hoping for DLC is a little optimistic.

I would be more than happy to see Sanzaru stay on this property. They've more than earned the right, and the game is purely a labor of love.
