Sly is a pretty good game, but it's disturbed by its easiness and short length. However, It's definently worth playing.

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is the first installment in the Sly Cooper series. The game starts out with you robbing a cop in the local police station. The object you rob is a police file full of information on "The Fiendish Five."
Sly was born into a family of master (raccoon) thieves. Each member of the family wrote in this ancient book, called the "Thievius Raccoonus". They then passed the book down to their son or daughter, and when they read it, they learned to be especially sneaky, but when it was Sly's turn to recieve the book, 5 visitors came unannounced to their door. They killed Sly's father while Sly hid in a closet with his ancestor's large cane hook that Sly was supposed to inherit with the book. The 5 visitors ransacked the house until they found..... (dum dum DUM!!!!!!!) the "Thievius Racconus". Each member took a number of pages and commited crimes all round the world.
Sly was dumped at the town orphanage where he meant Bentley (Brains and stradigest) and Murray (Driver, and in the next game MUSCLE). They formed a gang, stealing from evil doers or criminals.
Now, Sly has come of age, and plans to steal back the "Thievius Raccoonus" from "The Fiendish Five".
The gameplay consists of you using special thieving techniques to get past obstacles to earn these key things that will lead you to the boss, which is pretty cool. The Graphics, back then, rocked. The sound and music were ok though. They sometimes sounded a little overplayed (like when you get a key), but they were still pretty good. The game is very short. It took me, like 8 hours to beat it...(PLEASE RENT THIS). Overall the game is very good but lacks in a couple of areas.
