this don't look like Square Enix made a mistake bringing the game out of the grave !

 it looks purty good , and as another fact > I already have it paid off !

The lack of long distance attacks and evasive maneuvers forces the player to apply "wait and counter" tactics, which makes the combat boring. Other than that, looks like a cool game.

it's like UFC made a baby with yakuza and this is the end product....I CANT W4IT!

Looking great and August is just around the corner. Let's get it on!

looking forward to getting this title.thankfully square enix picked it up was disappointed when activision cancelled.anyway looks good can't wait.

Did anyone hear a race car driving in the background as soon as he started to sprint? haha

check out the minimap as well theres tons of icons which could mean theres stuff to do other than missions

@zowbaid i own both. Personally i prefer R2 more than R1. Uncharted 2 is 1 example why R2 should not be grenades.

well now I'm over excited for summer 2012! looked brilliant, graphics looked immaculate.

The fact Activision dropped this games shows the company seriously has no idea what it's consumers actually want. The game looks awesome. Great work to United Front Games and Square Enix, looks quality :)

Wait a minute..... At 4:51 the guy commentating says: "Soooo on PS3.. It's square to strike.. Triangle to counter, and B to grapple." I don't know what crazy controller he's playing with, but it sure as hell sounds confusing :P

I'm probably the only one (which means they won't do it), but I'd sure appreciate a language toggle. Looks like an awesome game, but don't really need my baby's first word to be an explicative...

@y3ivan Well I don't know if you own a 360 or Ps3, but on PS3, shoot button is almost always R1 which just feels right and natural for me. If they try and change it, it will just feel messed up. ANyway, this is my opinion, maybe other games like R2. I'm just saying, I hope they give us an option to change it.

Looks good, the combat could be more fluid but the contextual takedowns are cool!

@RanY2J: which francise? Sleeping Dogs originally was not meant to be part of the True Crime francise... they later named it True Crime Hong Kong cuz its a more popular name... this is the game as it was originally planned... not part of the True Crime series... maybe there will be a True Crime 3, Activision still has the rights for that series

Thanks to Square Enix for Re booting this franchise, because ACTAvision will be very sad for letting this awesome game go. Definite 8-9/10 Material.

lmao...the big swole asian guy with blonde hair is named...winston? Really? That being said...having only played the first Shenmue back in the day, I loved that open world adventure in the far East. I tried to give Yakuza a chance but i'm not gonna lie...no spoken dialogue (in english...yes i know the game wasnt originally made for English but that doesnt mean i wouldnt at the very least like a dubbed version) ruined it for me. I'll be keeping and eye on this -Dys

LMFAO this looks mediocre. Combat system is way too similar to Yakuza(which is already outdated). Wanna bet IGN gives this a 3/10 and Gamespot a 5/10 mediocre BAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Haters gonna Hate. I really didn't want to like this game when I started the video, but it looks pretty badass.

It looks really good, but the make or break question for me: Can you attack innocent civilians?

Haven't seen the whole game yet but so far it's underwhelming.

The atomshere looked cool, but the gameplay seems subpar to me. Very repetetive shallow combat with some cool gory effects to compensate. I'm sceptical.

When are you going to fire this guy? I can`t stand it when he speaks and makes his petty jokes, he reviews video games(they suck), and plays video games(he sucks). He just seems so fake with everything he does.

When Activision canned this project I was shocked. Especially when the developers claimed the game was 80% complete. Needs more polish but still a day 1 purchase from me.
