I really do like the idea that bullets bounce off Wei don't they ? he runs wide open surrounded by guys blasting at him ? hmm some mentioned Max Payne , Max could not do this as we know ! anyway this being what it is , I don't want to die anyway ! I am expecting fun and will be playing Sleeping Dogs in about 7 hours ....
One thing to keep in mind is that Sleeping Dogs is a sand box title ala Grand Theft Auto, unlike Max Payne 3 which is more confined thus it has room to render all those breathtaking animations.
The combat animation looks a little clunky, coming off of Max Payne 3 I think the combat won't be up to par. I think this could turn out to be a great game though with a decent story line.

I like the look of this title. I will keep an eye on it. I rarely buy games full retail, so I limit those to games I need to play. This is a want situation. It will be in my collection, just not right away.

this game is unique and I have added this to my favorites already ! how can I do this you say ? it's because I take chances and chances are very good that this will be deserving with all of my 3RD PERSON games and besides that it' don't look all whacked out like SRTT (saints row 3) what a piece of garbage !

As much as it makes me seem low brow I have to put my hands up and admit that I love a bit of John Woo.
Still, 75% of me does agree with Gelugon; I want to see more of the unique things the game has to offer, not so much the shooting.

It's weird how that works sometimes. I might change my mind again, but this game is definitely on my radar now.
Somehow the graphics went down... Or is it just an old footage?? Man I never said this but I'd rather they show me another interview than another trailer.... I think Sleeping Dogs would win in it's unarmed combat but this trailer kind of bugs me....
2 Like @BigheadNo1 It's a sandbox game so more like GTA than Max Payne. If you research and learn a little more about this game you may become interested.
Shooting and cover = Uncharted
slow motion vehicles flying = MGS4 motorcycle chase

1 Like they're showing waay too much of this game, it's like every week they're showing new stuff where in fact it's a really mediocre looking game, they should show Watchdogs more often instead of this..
2 Like @dainZ Mediocre? Whatever it is you're smoking, STOP! SLEEPING DOGS is no GTA5 but it looks to be ABOVE average at the very least. Looking forward to WATCHDOGS as well but we have to wait till December for it. This game is released in two weeks so naturally you can expect to see more ads.

@GavinUK86 A lot of sites were saying December at first but now Ubi just said the release date is confirmed to be 2013. So you need to lighten up boy and stop jumping up when you don't know what the f#@% you're talking about. Google is your friend sh#& head. USE IT!
@GavinUK86 Gamespot originally had it set for release on Dec, 31st but since changed it to TBA. Maybe that's what he's referring to.

1 Like It's gonna be a great game, but please don't write gameplay when you mostly show cutscenes. People want to have a good feel of the game if they invest before all the reviews are out.
