Awesome, fast-paced action and sweet ways to customize your mech, but playing the same levels over and over gets tiring.

User Rating: 7.6 | S.L.A.I.: Steel Lancer Arena International PS2
This game can be fun if you play it with a friend so you can help eachother and give eachother advice for eachother's profiles, and after a hard day's work of customizing your own deadly mechs face eachother in an action filled and fun multi-player mode. There are many parts and models to choose from to design and create your own mech, and there are also many different avatars to choose from to represent your character. The levels are well designed, but some are too limited. Another thing is, there are only a few levels to play, and each must be played over and over again. The only things being changed are the difficulty and the enemy mechs you must fight against. The controls are very easy to get a hang of, so you don't have to worry about spending hours of getting used to them. This game is fun nevertheless and could entertain you for a few hours if you can really get into it. You could also choose your own background music from a selection of songs. The story line is a little dumb, you're just a new member to an organization called Haven, which is home to players of this sport called Steel Lancer Arena International (S. L. A. I.) where you control your mech through a computer network rather than risk your life in it. You meet new people as you rise and gain more and more fame and recognition, and meanwhile there are different things such as sabotages and murders going on, which builds up the game's suspense as the news unravels to reveal what is going on in the computer world of Haven. This game is fun, but too repetitive, so I'll give it three exclamation marks. !!!
