S.L.A.I, The best robot fighting game ever? Yeah it probably could be a contender but...

S.L.A.I is a faced paced, super cool, super...well brilliant! This game is so appealing due to the fact that you can create millions of different robots (scoot vehicles, SV for short) and thats without even customising your parts. Yes you can even lighten or heavy your parts to shape your SV into a fast, ninga like killer or aslow, armoured tank! Its all up to you and believe me you never, you should never say never...But im gonna anyway, Run out of options.

The games battle system is pretty unique. You run around killing everyone in sight til the boss shows up (they are HARD to beat as youre already weakened by your rivals). At this point youre a little high on addrenaline and decide to go for him right, WRONG MOVE! Youre now taking them notes out of youre wallet for the scrap man. You have to pay for youre mistakes I guess. Anyhow if you do manage to avoid the boss just long enough to get the hell outta there you can. At any point in the battle you can retreat safely into the cluches of the gate. If you get blown up though while waiting for the extremely sluggish gate to open then youll be screaming at the TV!

The next best thing other than the battle system is the customisation. You can choose to use guns, swords, rockets or even a drill!!! On top of that there are 5 rival companies each having a different aspect in mind when they built their SVs. Plus, if you buy a proton (light, fast SV) you can only equip that companies parts, remember me saying theres millions of combibations well this shows how many combinations there are!!!

By the way another good thing you can buy an animal chip (bird, pig, mouse, etc...) and level them up. This trains them giving you extra aiming range and more health, even more firepower can be added! You have to repair chips which lowers thier max hp stats and transfer them to a new unit when its gets too low! Each type of chip has its own unique stats and training curve. They do have a max level limit though and tey can die (supposedly) which all you have to do is transfer it to a new unit!

There are 2 problems with this game 1) The graphics are all polygons, probably because of the amount of combinations. And 2)The online mode has been canceled which, was the major interest for me. You could even create your own teams!

The contols are laid out very well and they only take 60 mins tops to learn. Now I said learn not master! You can also set your own contols which is very rewarding. I think that you should do this, I personally like to fire all weapons at once and use the L2 and R2 buttons to dodge as its easier to than O and Square and miliseconds count in a battle!

Overall this game is a good addition to put in youre collection. There are various other aspects I have not talked about but I do not feel they need a mention. I think this game is good but needs improvements in locations.
