I definitely think this seems cool. Though, one of the pictures in the article is another newly posed Stealth Elf, so with our NEW 16 figures, we may again get another "new" set of 24 or so. Sigh.

Really excited about jumping. Boo expensive, breakable, and easily lost character pieces.
Uh oh I lost (my dog chewed it, my son tossed it, my wife lost it, or I misplaced it) the top half of Washbuckler. Better buy a new one, if I can find one. Thanks Toys for Bob and scalpers. Oh and I'm really excited about having to buy another Portal of Power. How about a few more levels or characters for Giants before announcing a whole new game?
But of course I'll buy them just so my son and I can play them. Activision and Toys for Bob have truly created a money pit.
If they do it as well as the previous games I'm sure it'll make a lot of money. May sound a bit bitter but I am kinda excited for the new game. I'm also wondering how the multi-piece characters will be sold. Hopefully closer to release date it won't seem as bad as it does now.

I saw a post on Twitter that said "48 new characters," which means, yes, we are getting 16 new characters, and 32 more "reruns." Also, there are no breakable parts, the legs are held to the torso via magnets.

Well as long as they don't sell the legs and torsos separately, I'll probably be going all in on this one as well.

16 Swap Force characters, 16 new "core" characters, 16 series 3 reposes of old characters. Plus 8 new lightcores.

I don't mind a new game and new figures so much as I mind Toys For Bob not being involved.
Isn't this what Activision did with Call of Duty? Two devs each get their own sub-franchise to make sure there is a new version annually? That's an honest question, btw, since I (literally) have never played any version of CoD.

I was pretty harsh on Giants when the news hit, so I'm going to reserve judgment for now. I will say my initial reaction is concern though. If they're designed to come apart... pieces are going to get lost... then I'm stuck with half a Skylander.
I'm hoping they make Series 3 out of the "dead 8" from SA. That would be nice. Looks like we're getting a S3 Stealth Elf for sure.
...and I swear to god if they release more than two versions of a character in Swap Force I'm going to scream. I'm looking at you Pop Fizz, Chill, Jet-Vac and Spyro... give some other characters the palette treatment for crying out loud!

Losing toys for bob is stupid. Vicarious visions did the portable versions which sucked compared to the console versions we could be in trouble here.

Is this for sure what happened? Or is it possible that they're (Toys for Bob) are working on the NEXT game after that, which one might think would debut on the new wave of consoles.
