Skylanders Giants (Starter Pack) Question

Wii skylanders portal for the Xbox 360?

Can I use my Wii Skylanders portal for the Xbox 360? My kids have Sylanders for the Wii and received Skylander Giants for the Xbox 360. The woman had the store said we could use the same portal so they just received the game with the new giants figures, but no portal. Was she given us the correct info or did we need a new portal?

Sadly, the Xbox 360 version of Skylanders will only use the wired USB portal that comes with the starter packs of ether Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, or Skylanders Giants for the Xbox 360.
