Very Enjoyable- if you like Console RPGs and can get this inexpensively, it's a fun time-sink.

Here's a quick breakdown of the game from my perspective, take it with however many grains of salt you like.

_____Graphics: B_____
Bright animations/scenes/characters are visually appealing and embody the spirit of the game well. It's a light-hearted adventure, and the cartoon-y graphics fit the game nicely. As mentioned in the GameSpot review, it's not perfectly polished and the facial expressions could have stood a bit more detail and variety. That being said, it's by no means an unattractive game.

_____Sound: C+_____
Music is charming but is on a somewhat short loop, making it get repetitive fairly quickly. Also, the voice cues in conversation needed the same treatment that facial expressions needed: more variety and possibly a handful of different sounds for each cue (ie, "Yeah," "Sure," and "Uh-huh" for affirmative sounds).

_____Controls: A-_____
Good, although there were times they could be frustrating, but that might have just been a personal issue. It's hard to screw up menu-based controls, though (for combat, anyway).

_____Gameplay: B+_____
With there being a title awarded at the end of the game depending on how you've played (achieving various things) there is a certain amount of replay value if you don't get the title you want. The ship combat is fairly good, and- once you get the hang of it- is quite fun and easy. nothing like blasting our enemies out of the sky! The random battles can become very frustrating if you are unable to escape from combat, though late in the game you can easily dispatch the entire field with one or two combo moves. I'm sure I'm missing a whole slew of gameplay things, but I also want to note that there are a handful of interesting puzzles/mazes in the game. It's not often that I've found a game like this with any puzzles in it that I enjoyed and were engaging, so this definitely gets a thumbs-up from me for that. My only real gripe is that there are specific save points, not just a save feature so you can leave off wherever you are. That being said, there are copious save points, and it's not exactly a difficult game where saves every battle are necessary.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game when I borrowed it from a friend, and plan to purchase my own copy to play between other games or when I get bored of something else. An enjoyable time-sink to be sure, and well worth playing if you have some spare time on your hands and want something to "tool around" with.
