Skate has brought a whole new addictiveness with its swing stick controls for the skateboard. I know that project 8 was the first skate game to let you use the analog controls to do tricks, but it was not there yet for the right skating standards of a game. EA completely rocked the industries world with this release of Skate. The only controls are with both sticks, theres no button mashing to do quadruple backflips or anything of imposible. This is realistic skating that takes time to master. There are little setbacks in the game, which are things like u cannot get off your board whatsoever so it gets annoying to have to always ollie up onto a curb. Those are my only complaints the game is very challanging with its new skating controls but once you master them its the greatest most addicting skating game yet.
A must buy, Skate 2 has the upgrades that ppl wanted from skate but the overall gameplay is the same nothing more. Skate is the original and cheapest so if you want a cheap skating game thats amazing buy skate, but if u have the extra 60 bucks buy skate 2, or why not both since the game is so good. Multiplayer is pretty well done, loading takes forever but once its loaded its great.
