Skate is an amazing game and a great start to the skate series. Although it lacks a good story mode, the gameplay is to die for. The game is just like skating, you land some and you don't land some. Unlike Tony Hawk games where you can do a 900 on a regular ollie this game is all about realism. This game is a must have for anyone who owns an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3. I would say this is a great starting game for a new console owner or a great game for an experienced gamer. Although some of the challenges are near impossible most of the challenges are the perfect difficulty making players get a certain amount of points jumping over a certain obstacle for example. Also the character customization tool is a good idea but there are waaaaay too many items. If you want to buy a shirt they have about 40 per brand and about 50 brands. Also the shirts come in three different sizes which is just a waste of time. This game has a lot of potential and I am looking forward to future additions to the series.
