What makes a good game for you? For me, a good game is one that I can pick up and play for 10 minutes, or for 2 hours. A good game is one where the environment can capture your attention and hold it, making the campaign a fun option, not a grueling grind. Unless you are in a hurry to get as many sponsors and gear as possible, then the city of San Vanelona will surely distract you at every corner, curb, bench, staircase, bleachers, statue...you get the picture. I have logged probably close to 20 hours so far and I am only at the shoe sponsor (second sponsor) in career mode. This is largely because having full access to all the tricks and most of the city to start out with is so much entertainment right off the bat. Plus, if you are a skater who skates for fun and the culture, then who needs sponsors anyway? I won't deny that free gear is always rad though.

Kudos to EA for having the balls to make a game that takes time to learn, and is reasonably difficult to play afterwards. For those of us that have been playing games since we were little (for me, 16+ years!) its hard not to get excited when we don't succeed at something on the first try. And if you are a wuss that gives up after failing at something once then you are the reason most games are made to make sure they get approval from the mommy's boys of the world, AND, don't bother buying this game, and please don't bother skewing the game rating with your lack of determination. I'll end this just by saying it is worth 60 bucks. Go get it.
