The controls are revolutionary, but the challenges will make you want to claw your eyes out.

It's hard not to compare Skate with the Tony Hawk series because the Tony Hawk series has been the only skateboarding game available up until now. EA released Skate back in September of 2007 to compet...

An overrated pile of junk that has minimum lasting appeal - OK I was a bit too harsh, its good but can be better :)

First of all to get it straight, I'm not a Tony Hawk fan boy, producing you a review that's completely biased but this is true. This game feels broken. Skating has to be a sport, not a freakin' button...

A lot of fun but for a little time

The controls of this game are what MAKE the game. If you are trying to decide whether to buy or rent, i would definitely say rent or borrow from a friend. This is a really good game; WAY better than a...

Skate does for skateboading games what Fight Night did for boxing games.

The opening unskippable movie is a tragic way to introduce people to this really cool game. The movie is over the top "xtreme", really corny and too long. The game however has a very mellow tone and i...

Flick-it system probably makes this game one of the best skate games.

Yeah, I've played Tony Hawk's Underground, Underground 2, and I myself bought Project 8. Party Play: I have to point out, that EA skate's Party Play a.k.a 2 player mode isn't as good as Tony Hawks...

A revolutionary Skate game that outskates Tony Hawk but the challenges make the gameplay too difficult at times.

Rated on April 13, 2008 by StreetSurfer

I just got this game recently along with my new Xbox 360. First off, i would like to say that this truly is the Tony hawk Skate killer. The flick control is genius and the graphics are amazing. Though...

I think this game is to own and practise alot. I would not try and rent this game and expect much. I barrowed this from a friend and i got like 20gs points from it. The game-play is nice how you can s...

Pretty Good start, but not good enough.

Skate, a.k.a the game that could of killed the Tony Hawk Series, the game that could of showed us that Skateboarding games aren't dead and repetitive. Basically what it did was turn a button mashing g...

A new way to play skateboarding games.

    Rated on June 02, 2008 by bored_gamer

In my opinion, Skate redefines the way skateboarding games are played. What makes it so innovative is the "Flick it" controls. You use the second joystick to perform tricks and the left joystick for c...
