Being a fan of the Skate series since the OG game in 2007, I was both amused and dissapointed in the thrid installment.

Being a hardcore Skate fan, I pre-ordered the game months early. When I first played the game, I had a great time. It still had the classic Skate gameplay, the city was nice. But now, after just about 2 months of owning and playing the game, the game seems sort of empty.
First off, the pros. The game has a new city that is much better than New San Van from Skate 2. The university district has nice spots, same goes for Downtown and the Industrial sector. However, each district is seperated. This was a large dissapointment, beause it seems that there is a big wall blocking the University district from Downtown. Which there is.
Also, the Park Editor is amazing. I've spent alot of time in there recently. As long as you have ideas in mind, you can create it. A few things dissapoint me though. The water is not realistic. When you land in water, you don't sit on top of it. Super physics fail.
The cons, are where things are big though. The city is seperated. The missions are uninspired. They brought back "Blaow", and the Danny Way jam. Both challenges annoyed me in Skate 2. Gameplay is very short. It took me only a few days to beat all the main missions.
Although the game introduces new great features, such as park creator, darkslides, underflips, drop-ins, etc. There is something missing. Although the game is better than Skate 2, it still can not compete to the OG Skate.
