Basically you need to ride around the perimiter of the pool (not the floor but on the lower part of the wall) and pumping the corners like you do in a halfpipe. After you pump around the third and final corner before the gap angle upwards so that you ride up the wall and across the gap at about a 45 degree angle (maybe a little bit less) and after a few tries you should figure out what to do and get it eventually.

Go into the pool and build up some speed on the left side of the pool, build up speed by going around in a circle and when you think your going fast enough, ollie off the pool and try to land in the other side of the pool.
