With it's top-down urban environment, a working railroad line, and gameplay centered on exploring the city looking for action, it would be no surprise to find out the creators of the original GTA games were influenced by Siren City. In the game, you control a patrol car tasked with various objectives, from routine patrol, to chasing down bad guys, responding to a hazmat spill, and others. The gameplay gets progressively more difficult. After a while, it's downright hard. That's what she said. The graphics are extremely simple, your car is a black & white rectangle, and everything is very square. Despite the very old school graphics and the sometimes painfully difficult gameplay, this game was very unique for it's time, and it's fun to go back and play some of these games again and imagine what games were influenced by them.
