a great sci-fi shooter. worth playing and enjoying

User Rating: 8.5 | Singularity X360
there are many shooters who try to achieve greatness, and most do. Singularity is one of them. though there are many similarities to Bioshock (killing mutated beings, having powers in one hand, and a weapon in the next or in both, health pack usage and note findings) these dont hamper the game's fun at all means. kevin vanord was right when he spoke about the graphics. they are a little out-dated because when i played the game it seemed like it wasnt made recently.

The game's difficulty can be a little out of pace but the game itself isnt too difficult if you use the TMD (time munuplilation device) to slow enemies to a halt, age them to dust, or to throw explosives at them. all of these are fun to do. the game doesnt have a very many weapons, but there are pretty interesting. you have the basic assault rifle, pistol, shotgun, and missile launcher. but you also can wield a mini gun, a slo-mo sniper rifle, a grenade launcher, and the "seeker", a manually guided sniper rifle where you take control over the bullet.

the story itself isn't very gripping like The Darkness was, and it is pretty short. it consist of maybe 5-6 main missions, and the ending isn't very satisfying. you play as a marine getting a ditress signal, but you get emp'd. you then reunite with some friendlys and aim to stop Nikolai Demichev from killing you and killing everyone else.
