What this game does good, it really does but what it does wrong.. boy is it wrong..

Well, after some time off PC gaming I'm back finishing games and why not, making reviews..

Let me start by getting something out of the way, it's a Bioshock rip-off. Plain and simple, you can't add some mechanics and call it something different because it isn't.

If you played Bioshock (surely you have), follow me:

Highlighted orange usable items? Check
Something in your hand that gives you powers? Check
Upgradeable weapons and abilities through machines in the game? Check
Health bar and TMD (Eve in Bioshock) bar with amount of refill units on the right? Check
Weird flashbacks while playing? Check
Attempt at a twist in the story? Check

I could go on but it just doesn't make any sense, it's pretty obvious by now.

Anyway, let's get to the diferent sections:

Graphics:

6.0 out of 10.

The game looks good, it's just that the textures sometimes don't get rendered properly and maybe you get that blurry texture on some things. The game looks dated, no doubt but it looks good and that should be what matters. I mean, it's not THAT dated and it doesn't look bad.

Sound:

6.0 out of 10.

I didn't really like it. The missing subtitle option didn't help either. Thing is, and I don't know if it fits in the "sound" category, but the audio recordings you find throughout are terribly placed and with no subtitles you can't just go on and read/listen what they say, you have to sit your ass and listen and they are boring. Oh I just remembered... AUDIO RECORDING? Bioshock anyone? Man...

Storyline:

6.0 out of 10.

This story for me had it's ups and downs, maybe more downs that ups. I like the setting and the time traveling is really cool but underused. I don't really want to spoil but there are some parts in the story that made me go WTF? Like with the girl, I mean you don't even get to see anything. And at the end well, Bioshock all over the place.

Gameplay:

7.0 out of 10.

Definitely the best aspect of the game. The idea to make things travel through time and everything on the fly is really good. Sadly it's only used for a couple of things and that's it. Firing the weapons is cool, nothing incredible. Not a crazy amount of weapons to choose from either.
Then you have the enemies.. It's too damn easy. Bosses were a joke, and you have no final boss? Why? Really? Why?

Conclusion:

I don't know why this cheap Bioshock rip-off was allowed, maybe they bought the engine, who knows? All I know is that they bought the engine, the idea, the style and the story.
