Singularity is a mediocre shooter with some fun time manipulation elements to utilize in combat.

Singularity is a FPS that takes place on the research Island of Katorga 12 outside Russia. You are a US military operative sent in to investigate an energy spike and to assess whether Russia has any nuclear capabilities. Throughout the game you learn about the element E99 that is only found on Katorga 12 through its unstable properties it can with the use of the TMD (time manipulation device) manipulate time and perform actions such as slowing enemies, aging or renewing barriers and enemies and activation time rifts to a previous time. You battle entities known as the Singularity that were people exposed to E99 and have mutated into a variety of grotesque creatures. You chose from a standard arsenal, magnum, shot gun, sniper rifle, rail gun and a few additions such as the Spiker with these and the TMD you blast your way through trying to correct the time line and prevent Russia from ruling the world. Though the story line is weak, the combat especially with the TMD is fun and offers different ways to handle different situations with both Russian soldiers and the Singularity. Singularity is a mediocre shooter that though with a week story and repetitive enemies, does off some mixture of action with the TMD and weapons choices.
