Good fun, decent story.
I hated Wolfenstein. This, made by the same people Raven, is much, much better. The graphics aren't amazing, no, but they are solid and don't detract from gameplay. The weapons are really fun to shoot, although I did end up relying on the mini gun and sniper for most of the game. There are some decent puzzle elements that aren't too tricky and reminded me of a less intellectual half-life. The enemies aren't too varied sadly, i think i counted 6 types in the game, and aren't that tough to fight, but are at least fun to kill.
The story is actually quite interesting so I think on that this game was harshly judged. Then again, I'm not the sort to really concentrate on cut scenes and back story, they are all slight inconveniences for me. Metal gear, for example, I'm not a fun of. This story is short, sweet and back to the future style mad fun, with a choice at the end of the game, something I love.
The game is actually quite easy. I only remember dying a handful of times in the whole game but that certainly didn't spoil it. I hate frustrating games and this isn't one. You can play through this start to finish and it's fun. Sadly, no end boss, although I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Developers always see, to try to make a huge thing that's irritating and hard to kill. Wolfenstein, for example, had an awful last boss. No skill, just luck involved.
I thought this game was really good. It took about 8hours to finish over a few days but it was a simple pick up and play that was easy to move through. A solid 8 for me.
