Much better than the trailers can show you!

User Rating: 9 | Singularity PC
The trailers for this game shows you a shooter game, a spy cold-war game, a mutant-killer game. The actual game is much more than that.
Great graphics, great sound effects, great music, and above all, great history.
You start as a soldier, just like any other game, but you become the main character and in this case writer of the history. Knowing the future does not help: you just changed history. The time-line you are following in the game is your fault; now you have to correct it. You meet the scientist behind the greatest discovery in history, a guerrilla girl, the bad guy, and a bunch of poor people caught in the middle of the "singularity". You travel the island and the ruined facilities of the E99 research project, getting scattered data of the people, the E99, the war, the monsters, the accident. All this info makes the story more solid, more rich. The recording tapes are a great plus to the story. The weapon selection is good, fun and gory. But the greatest gadget you have is the TMD. Slowing mutants so you can hit them is good, but slowing bullets and stopping soldiers while bleeding is awesome. The physics of time stopping and time slowing is amazing. The improvements of the TMD are good. All the tricks you can learn with this "god's hand" are great. You can find yourself changing smoothly between firing an entire pack of bullets or directed grenades (cool) and ageing a soldier or throwing back a fuel barrel.
All of this makes Singularity an amazing game, worth of being played for hours.
