A game made for those who have bored out of their minds and love building simulations

SimTower is, along with SimCity 2000, my favorite of all of the Maxis games. It has everything you need to keep you hooked on the game for hours and not get bored. The gameplay is great. Your goal is to build a 2D tower that is 100 stories high. Your view of the tower is just the side of it with the wall missing. Although it's extremely unrealistic in that aspect as, the tower ends up being a really tall, really wide, one-room thick building, everything else makes plenty of sense and provides an intriguing simulation. You'll build hotel rooms, elevators, security offices, movie theaters, offices, party halls, parking lots, condos, restaurants, shops, and so much more. Additionally you'll be able to keep track of every single person and be able to see what kind of person they are, where they came from, where they're going, and how stressed about life they are. Of course, one of the other more subtle goals is to keep everyone in your tower as stress-free as possible, and it will become much more popular. The music is nonexistent: there is none. I'd say this is a good decision on the creator's part since there really isn't any music to go well with this game that wouldn't get annoying. There are plenty of sound effects from all of the different places: elevators, movie theaters, condos, etc. It may or may not get annoying after a while, but they've already prepared and you can choose which sound effects you want to have turned on or off if any at all. The graphics aren't that good. Everything's rather repetitive, as you stare at the screen. If I can remember correctly, there are about six different office types, six different fast food types, and four different restaurant types, so it's not a total loss. This is a rather old game though, and the screen is constantly moving so you can't expect it to be 3D amazing graphics. I still think they could have done a little better nevertheless. The replay value is pretty good. Despite how the game seems it would play exactly the same every time, it doesn't, and you don't get tired of the game either. There are many subtle differences that can make all the difference in the world. If you can find this game, it would be fun in any era of computer technology, mainly because there has never been a game created just like it. It's a one-of-a-kind classic Sim game.
