@Siddha19 Same here. I'm still excited though, as I think Sim City has always been a cool series. But a bit disappointed since I was really getting pumped up to play with these graphical visuals.
What the SimCity series has always lacked, in my opinion, is the real-life political element of municipal government - all the wheeling and dealing that goes on at City Hall. SimCity 3000 sort of got it, with developers offering cash for building harmful buildings, etc. Imagine Tropico but in a North American setting.
Looks like the same cartoony stuff they tried with Sim City Societies (which, might I remind you, bombed horribly). I certainly hope I'm wrong. That said, will I be getting it? Definitely.
It looks pretty nice, this is what SimCity should be the strategy game they had many years ago, is way more fun then the the care of the useless human that only knows to complain hahaha
They really know how to make trailers that get you excited. Been a fan of the series for almost two decades now and I'm really hoping this game delivers. :)

i hope the game is really like this or even better.seems so nice and it seems like its back to the roots.(societies was really a big fail)
I am all for taking your time to ensure quality but please hurry up with the production of this game while still ensuring adequate quality

@maniac060 why not EA forces developers to finish it much quickly as possible so developers can't focus on their work because of the tension which ultimately lead for a poor quality product.
For those stressing about the possibility that it won't stay true to its nature. There is hope and I think enough to prove it will be a good game. SimCity Societies didn't have Maxis developing it. The Maxis logo was clear as day at the start of this trailer and what I've learned from legit companies like Rockstar, Valve and in this case Maxis is that the company name makes a difference for the final project. Here's hope that this will be like SimCity 4

EA is well known for pushing unfinished, flawed stuff onto the market A reasonable consumer would comprehend or perhaps tolerate the Blizzard style, but not this way
@evil_demons_mons the footage is not representative of actual gameplay footage... it said so at the ending. I love SimCity. Like CitiesXL too... but I think this one will take the crown when it's released. Hopefully it will also include all the things you could do in SimCity 3 Deluxe and much more... thinking space travel and military. Declare my own city state :).
I thought SimCity was dead after the release of Societies.. but this gives me hope, especially since the development is handed back to Maxis.

Please, Maxis, Please. Sim City fans don't deserve another bad release. Do this right, don't drown it in politically correct social and eco dreck and corporate branding, just simulate building and maintaining a city and its structures.
this trailer makes me want to buy 38 big packs of M&M's and write "repesentative of one hundred dollars" on each M&M, then I could buy every copy of Simcity on earth and have the last laugh.

If you're complaining about an announcement trailer having graphics that won't be representative of the final, you're not excited about the core announcement here: this is SIMCITY -- the end graphics won't matter. That said, anyone who is a veteran fan of the game series will be excited over how much potential Maxis and EA have here with a hopeful return to roots of the series -- and also be terrified of how much there is at stake to lose here if they don't do it right. (SimCity Societies...)
