Could've been a stunner but it is severely broken

The game is beautifully visually with great music and sound effects. But setting aside aesthetics, the game functions well for a few hours and then as you climb up the tech tree and build your population and cities, you get to see some bugs. But because the game is working, so decide to ignore the bugs and try other things to proceed and as you go a little further, you notice more bugs.... so much so that you cannot really do anything to go any further because the game has essential components for advanced play that DO NOT WORK.
A few things that don't work:
1) Can't seem to join a regional game with other players as the search function doesn't work. You need to manually find a random person, add them as a friend and then invite them to a game or vice versa
2) Recycling doesn't work. So your population is full of garbage and every gets sick.
3) Buses get stuck as bus stops forever.
There are more but I find these as critical bugs that prevent further gameplay.
To top it off, you cannot sell SimCity after you buy and activate it. So you're stuck with a broken game for the rest of your life. It could take months to fix up but EA will only spend so much to fix things up and judging by how deeply flawed the game is, it will probably never be truly fixed up ever. I'd strongly recommend NOT to buy this game.
