Your worst nightmares come true as you enter Silent Hill!
The game starts off with a man named Harry Mason and his daughter Cheryl, Harry crashes his car into what we assume is a girl crossing the road as harry wakes up his daughter is not in the passages seat and seems to have vanished! This is where the game starts off in the town of Silent Hill a seemingly haunting ghost town nobody lives in this godforsaken town or do they?
Silent Hill is pure hell to play through it controls like a Resident Evil game but with the controls less more clunky even though there are flaws with the camera but this only adds more suspense and terror.
I don't want to go give much away about the story in this review so im not going to talk about it all though i will admit its rather confusing, Harry is your ordinary father constantly chasing after his little girl he is no soldier, no marine no kick ass bad ass just a normal man who goes through nightmare after nightmare i strongly advise you to play this game with the lights out at night with the sound on full blast.
The enemies and frights in this game are really memorable visiting the locations of a Children s School which by the way is all in darkness as is the creepy hospital with zombie like nurses and doctors trying to carve you up, but the real treat in this game is just the silence and the pure fear of everything being in the dark there are so many jumpy moments you will be sweating playing it.
Like Resident Evil there are puzzles and here is where i will make a minor complaint about this game the puzzles are too difficult when i first played this i completed it with a printed walk through and when i go back now i use YouTube to figure it all out again not very user friendly its unforgiving.
Silent Hill switches between two worlds the normal world in which we live in and the so called (otherworld) where literally everything looks like the devils mansion it really is HELL, the game is not too difficult Resident Evil is a lot harder for combat but in Silent Hill you will frequently be getting lost or stuck on a godforsaken puzzle, The characters are interesting and are important to the finale i also shud mention there are 4 endings and a secret UFO ending that the creators put in there for a joke its quite amusing.
Silent Hill will literally Terrify you its a classic horror game and makes Resident Evil look like Casper
