A horror game as they should be!!

This game revolutionized horror games for me. I know we had Resident Evil, which is an amazing game, but like all other games of their kind, are corridor based, even though you can go back and fourth. Silent hill on the other hand opened the map to more free roaming.
Though silent hill didn't stray to far from horror games, it focused on a more deranged horror compared to games like RE that focused on mutations and living dead. Unlike the viral outbreaks in RE, SH offered the spiritual demonic realm of horror. Which to me was very refreshing at the time.
The controls are your usual configuration where up is walk forward and your buttons attack or use items and objects.
And though SH used similar concepts from the usual horror suspense in games, it did it very well making the game not feel repetitive or dull. You never knew what was coming or going to happen.
And with extremely different endings, from bad to good to an offset UFO ending, this games was very repayable!
This game is a must own for any fan of horror games. It is a true classic!
