This is a game of contrasts. The non nightmare sections are very engrossing and fun. The story is very good and keeps you interested. The graphics are excellent for the Wii and the sound is also excellent. I like the snow effect and I really got the feel of a winter storm from the game. The snow added to the desolation of Silent Hill. The puzzles were not very challenging but were still quite fun. The ending is well worth the wait and even worth the annoyances along the way. Those annoyances center around the "nightmare" sections. These sections, especially the second one, can be very annoying, as you run around like a chicken with it's head cut off vainly looking for the right path or door, only to find yourself back where you started. Admitedly, the later nightmares weren't nearly as frustrating, but the second one almost made me quit the game. The screaming naked things that hug you to death are annoying too, and not really in the same vein as previous Silent Hill monsters, but then again this is an entirely different type of Silent Hill game. Once I got the hang of the nighmars the game progressed well. The characters are well done, the voice acting is very good. The game is without a doubt the best Silent Hill game since Silent Hill 3. If you're a SH fan you should definitley get this game.
