I highly enjoyed Shattered Memories, it's amazing. The first Silent Hill game on Wii, and it proves that it can be fine on all consoles. It's really short though, about 6-7 hours, which may be annoying to fans. As always there are multiple endings, all satisfying endings to Harry Mason's search for his daughter Cheryl (or better known as Heather from SH3.) You can say that it's a remake form the first Silent Hill, but there are some major tweaks to this game. First, Harry has an iPhone, giving the 1999 classic a modern feel. Also, Harry has no weapons to defend himself, sure he can grab flares to fend off monsters, but you still don't feel protected. The flashlight will remind you of Alan Wake, since you can aim the flashlight at a baddie to stop him for a moment, giving the perfect chance for an escape. Puzzles aren't what they used to be, you'll still have to backtrack, but mostly you'll search for clues on how to get to the next area. So the game begins with you filling out a form that has questions (and personal, so don't do this around friends or family) like "do you drink to not stay depressed," or "Do you take painkillers often?" These all affect the game. There are many different scenarios to encounter one will face. Early into the game, your faced with going to a bar to talk with a old woman who offers help, but Harry refuses, or into a diner to talk with a police woman, but it's plays out kinda the same way. You can also receive calls and pressing your ear on the Wii remote and listen to what the person who's calling you says. Early in the game, you receive a call from Cheryl saying, "Don't fight them Daddy, just run!" Most calls give perfect clues on what to do next, or are just useless and leave you in the cold and dark world on Silent Hill. There is a nice interaction in the world called "pinching" which is pressing the A and B button at the same time (and holding them as well.) So you can do stuff like unlock doors, shake cans to find keys, or unzipping jackets to find a hidden key. You tell early in the game that Harry doesn't remember a thing from the car crash, and doesn't remember where he lives, or if he has that expensive iPhone, or if he evens cares. You'll listen to answering machines to find out about the town of Silent Hill. There are many ways to tell if there are rivalries or just helpful hints on what to do next to this dark world. No combat, which means no protection, which means repetitive running through buildings and roads and such things you see on your way to school! Like I said, you can use flares to ward off zombies, oh! most zombies are butter-faced creatures, like the nurse from Homecoming. Well I don't see any other goods and bads about the game, so I'll stop here. I hope this helps you decide wether to buy the game or not, but all-in-all, happy gaming
