My sixth Silent Hill review.

This is my review for Silent Hill Origins, the prequel to the first game. First off,
let me say, I loved Silent Hill 1-4, and had mixed thoughts about Homecoming,
so I decided to play this one next. The story follows Travis Grady, a trucker
who is passing through Silent Hill on his way to complete his next delivery.
Immediantly he is thrust into action to save someone trapped in a burning house, and after doing so blacks out, only to awaken in the town of Silent Hill.
I thought that since the game was a prequel, the only story would be to follow
the events that lead up to the first game, but I was surprised that they through in a side plot revolving around Travis's past, although I do wish it played a bigger role. Anyway, it was surprising neat to see that the events that Travis goes through connect the dots and lead up to the first game. (Keep an eye out for the cameo appearance of Travis at the beginning of Homecoming) Another thing I liked was the new resident boogeyman of Silent Hill, known as The Butcher, sure he was a knockoff of Pyramid Head, but the design of him was awesome. In closing, this is certainly not the best Silent Hill out, (I think it's 1-3 and maybe 4 too.) But it's worth checking out. Keep an eye out for my next review.
