A rewarding experince that you won't forget, but it's not for everyone

User Rating: 9.5 | Silent Hill 3 PS2
I actually had this game for a long time, but just now i finished it and i regret not doing it when i first bought it.

GRAPHICS:
The graphics are very good, with a stable frame rate, beautifull graphics and detailed backgrounds. The only drawn back is the lyp syncing, which can be a little off. 4.9/5

SONUD:
The game don't have a lot of music, but the sound effects are solid and the music there is is great. It also has my favourite video game tune ever, "You're not Here" that plays in the opening. 5/5

GAMEPLAY AND CONTROLS:
The game is a survivor horror. You play as Heather Mason, the daughter of Harry Mason, the protagonist of the first game. This game is actually a direct sequel to the first game, and it may be hard to follow the story if you haven't played it. The plot is actually very interesting, and complements the story of its predecessor. The gameplay is very like the other games on the franchise: mix of puzzles, exploring and combat. On the combat, you press R to get you weapon ready and X to shoot. The gameplay is unique as it always was, with a good balance of all the parts, though the camera dosen't help a lot, because you don't have a good control over it. Also, at time it can be annoying to kill some enemies, because some are too powerfull. There are a few different weapons, but they are all very interesting. It also is short, as i finished it in 4 and half hours, but players sometimes finish it in less than 3 hours. The controls are kinda archaic, but work well, as you just go straight or backwards, and strafe to the sides. It takes some times to get used to, but it is the best it could have been. 4/5

OVERALL:
Silent Hill 3 is not for everyone, as some may be turned of by the gore and gameplay, but for those who stick with it, you will stick with a rewarding experince.

The good:
-Great graphics
-Music suits well, and when there is, it is very good (check "You're not Here")
-Cool weapons and boss fights
-Interesting plot

The bad:
-Short
-Tough to follow if you didn't play the first game
-Camera gets in the way
-Sometimes pushes the boundaries on gory and disgusting
