one of the main reasons why Sid Meier's "RAILROADS" (SMRR) is so appealing is because of the very basic, and not so basic game play that the game involves. It is very easy to get the basics of the game by just using the tutorial. But, if you really want to get down in the nitty gritty parts of the game, like stock managing, and financially securing you railroad, one does have to spend some time to learn those aspects to get to the point where they can enjoy them. Overall it is enjoyable because you can always go to sandbox mode and build whatever you want without having to worry about the money.
