Was the lead developer on leave while they got the work experience kid in to design this game? What a pile of rubbish!
After installing the game, working my way through the tutorial and then having attempting a mission, this version of Railroads just lacks so much that the others had. The next day as I was thinking about how bad the experience was, i thought that I would have to give it at least another crack. Well, it was the same feeling over again.
This game seems to any real sense of getting anywhere. There is a limited amount of missions, the map is confusing and misleading, use of camera angles and locking is rubbish and the laying of double track is a frustraing exercise to say the least. The multiplayer lobby was like entering a ghost town - not a lot of people about. Guess that pretty much sums up the popularity of the game.
Now, its not all bad. The graphics have taken a step in the right direction and it also loads quick. Thats about as far as it goes....
