Gameplay is OK, but is ruined by too much crashing.

User Rating: 4 | Sid Meier's Railroads! PC
This is a simplified Railroad tycoon. Too simple if you ask me. It's still fun to play, but even when fully patched and on lower settings, this game just crashes WAY too much. Nothing spoils a good PC game more than non-stop crashing. Just when you're in the middle of an ambitious expansion project, the game crashes and all your careful planning and building is gone. For me, the crashing completely ruined the game.

If the game didn't crash so much, I can see it becoming somewhat addictive for a month or two. But personally, I prefer the complexity of the business side of Railroad Tycoon. That's what made this genre so great to begin with. What's Railroading without the robber barons?

Overall, I call this a miss for the Railroad sim genre. If the game didn't crash so much, this game would probably get a 7.0
