This game is now about 11 years old, so by all means one can not expect first class graphics. but that is not either needed in this game, it plays a bit like Civilization with a twist. you establish colonies in the new world and ship your production back to the old world, sell it and make money to buy gods to bring back, new ships, or just ad to your welth. the resepy of the game is more or less in those lines. whats more, you can try to coquer all other cityes out there in a civilization game play style. it is hugely fun and totally time absorbant, just like most other Sid Meier game. a wonderfull game that is a joy to pick up about a decade since you last played it, if you can get your disk's to work and your DOS operating system working, free up base Memory and all that Microsoft crap. the graphics are terrible by modern standards, but the rest of the game one could have bought and loved playing as if it was brand new. it is clear that some gameplay never get outdated. so if you can bare the graphics on an old small monitor the gameplay will make it worth the effort.
