Its my world and you can't have it

User Rating: 10 | Sid Meier's Civilization PC
I confess to being a bit intimidated when i first installed Civilization on my PC. The potential to really really mess up my nation was huge but I patiently built and built and then won.

The graphics were quite rewarding and dare I say a bit educational. There were many facets of history that I had never really appreciated in this game until I got my own wonder of the world. I made deals with famous world leaders and built almost continuously. Since I'm such a Simcity afficianado, the game was exactly what I wanted but the scale was immense to me.

The music was forgettable and a bit annoying at times so I tended to play without the music or sounds enabled. After all, it was all about defeating the nation next door and never ever trust them.

When you see this game in the bargain bin, I would recommend playing it to see where it all started for the Civilization based games. Sid Meier didn't go the way of violence and eye candy, he went straight for your brain so the final reward is much much better compared to so many other games.
