This is proof that Gamespot reviewers don't really play the game.

User Rating: 1 | Sid Meier's Civilization V PC
Civ V is a broken game. Despite the extreme number of bugs on release, the gameplay cannot be repaired because the developers have forgotten to code for a story and roleplay.

Instead, the developers focused on a game that allows gamers to build a military to fight other militaries across the universe. The entire concept of creating a civilization that is inspiring and satisfying for a gamer has been thrown out of the window.

When the story is gone, there is no game with meaning unless you consider this to be an arcade game like Pac-Man or Tetris.

Do not buy this game. Instead, consider Paradox's games such as the Universalis, Victoria, or Hearts of Iron series to satisfy couch emperors who want to rule the world as they see fit.

Civ V is the most disappointing game in the series because the developers neglected the story. Save your money and your time. It's not worth even installing it.
