I know, right? You know a game is good if you can go back almost 15 years later and still have a blast. Alpha Centauri is my favorite "Civilization" game... even though it's not technically a CIvilization game. =)

On a side note: WOOOOHOOO! I'm finally getting a computer, literally and one of my first thoughts was: Oh snap, I get to play Alpha Centauri again! I'm kinda worried about this whole 64-bit install issue I read about in the sticky. Hopefully that .ini file change will fix it... <crosses fingers>

Anyways, yeah. I love this game. Totally in my top 10 games of all time.

I only wish GOG.com could sort out whatever legal hangups are keeping them from getting the Alien Crossfire expansion. I missed out on it, back in the day, and I'd prefer a digital version, now.

Same here. I used my friends hard copy and it didn't work. Downloaded it and it didn't work. Tried all sorts of combinations of compatibility mode, admin privileges, and other such things, and it didn't work.
I even tried it on an old win98 machine keep around for Fallout and System Shock. No Alien Crossfire

I wait eagerly for the day that gog makes this problem go away.

Actually you can't have 100% disbelief in something without proof. I'm sorry but that's just illogical. Second you can have 100% belief in God without proof.
