My 70th review after a boring movie game, The Golden Compass.
Like Awesome Possum, Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing, Ninjabread Man, Barney's Hide and Seek, E.T. for the Atari 2600, and Superman 64, this game also sucks so bad. When I played this game back when I was 12 years old a few days before I turned 13 back in 2007, not only was it hard for me to beat, but I also just think that this game was a Super Mario rip-off, and what I also hate about this game is the belching and passing gas at enemies. These moves are awful! This game gets a BIG FAT F--! Here's the results:
Voice-acting 6/10: Sounds just the same from the movie.
Game-play 1/10: (sigh) Not so good... The missions are very frustrating.
Graphics 3/10: The graphics are so blocky. They also have terrible quality, and they are also in a very dark theme. It's like you're playing a horrible PS1 and N64 game.
Controls 5/10: Meh... The controls were actually okay, not bad but not good. The camera controls on the other hand is so awful that it is never positioned correctly.
Sound/Music 1/10: The sounds effects and music are really terrible and horrible. Put the game on MUTE.
Lasting Appeal 1/10: The more I play this, the more I could get so mad it makes me want to... (HUFF, HUFF, THEN SCREAMS IN FRUSTRATION AND SMASHES DISK)
Sorry for the anger I threw out, but hey, I feel much better now. WOOO! Overall, Shrek the video game sucks and is not worth everyone's time or money.
The Good:
-There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING good about this game at all!
The Bad:
EVERYTHING!!!
-Poor, terrible, blocky graphics that look like PS1 and N64 graphics
-Awful camera controls
-Horrible sound effects and music
-Frustrating missions
So, by in the other hand, this is without a doubt the worst game based on a movie ever made. Compared to this game, watch the movie instead! That's the end of my review and I don't want to talk about this horrible game anymore.
