Today, Johnny guides us through the latest hacking scandal to hit Sony and looks at the latest game from Amanita Design, Botanicula.
im bothered, twice in 1 year? ok not as bad this time but still SONY your s*** at security. mmmm i might sell my ps3, ahh no UC3 soon
I love this guy (in the pure manly, brotherly sense of the word) and the whole UK team are great. Good episode, keep up the good work :D
The facial expressions, timings and obviously self deprecating jokes sells the humor! Personally I love Gamespot UK for this reason. Its entertainment not just presentation of news. A lot of people may disagree with me, but I am a massive fan of British humor and this just adds another set of British people I like to watch.
Agreed harrumble. I'm guessing the people who hate him are teenagers who just don't get the humour. Personally I think you're brilliant Johnny, keep up the good work, your sense of humour is spot on along with the rest of the team. Ignore the haters as I'm sure you do anyway
Hey, woah! What's with all the Johnny-bashing? Back the f*** up before you get smacked the f*** up.
Good show, but damn, that host is SERIOUSLY ANNOYING. He totally butchered "The Count's" laugh too. As for Sony and the hackers, of course they're still being hacked, or at least attempted hackings. The Hackers aren't going to back off Sony until Sony changes their business model or until Sony follows the supposed rules and regulations and actually Keeps Their Custer Records on servers that are NOT CONNECTED to the Internet......duh.
Great shows! Start/select is kinda like Sync but allot more jokes and different staffs everyday(almost everyday)
Please have him stop making jokes. Or fire him....
how in the world is that funny...
Johnny is really funny - excellent show as always!
@ShadowMoses900 sure some of you seem to be hating on him but he has a very good ****** point shame on sony you need to dedicate more of your overwhelming any of cash to protecting your customers to those saying its not sonys fault go buy some anti virus for your computer wait for it get a virus it hasnt caught and then blame yourself and your computer ( very much doubt you'd do that you'd be screaming at your anti-virus provider)
Someone really doesn't like Sony. But after last time they probably beefed up their network to handle hard core dos attacks like that, which is prolly why it didn't bring Sony Online to its' knees.
key word here is ATTEMPTS. PSN is almost impossible to hack now. nice try.
Lol nice laugh Johnny.
One Space Ha ha, Two Space Ha ha ha, Three Space ha ha ha
It doesn't make any sense to be mad at Sony for the actions of hackers. All they are trying to do is provide a service, and a free one at that, and some people with no regard for personal security are trying to ruin that. Your anger would be better targeted at those responsible, come on people pitchforks at the ready!
I'm not hatin, but I had 360, and the online can't justify Microsoft's recent skimp on the goods (GAMES). I switched to PS3, and even tho PSN isn't as good as Live, if the network goes down, I'll just call ppl to hang out? Yeah, it's called the real world, and obsessive fanboys should try it some time, it's pretty cool.
'Botanicula' is a fantastic name to a video game.
yay another place where i have to type the same stuff again : there is no such thing as online security its all a joke if a good enough hacker wants access to something he will get access to it .Period hackers need to leave Sony the F alone go after craptivi$ion or something its not funny anymore
Yes pls kill the feed lol
@SergioMX a shame they stopped burning a couple years ago... right?
point and click game? looks great! :)
*Sigh* Yesterday it was PC vs. Console, today it's Xbox vs. PS3. Any chance we could change the record guys? (OnLive4Ever!)
@poochythegenius It's a commercial by Sony. Look up 'Michael' on the PS3 You Tube page.
I must know: what was the video playing in the background of the first part? The one with all the different videogame characters in live-action?
@ShadowMoses900 Your post is so contradicting.... As for all the Xbox Fanboys coming on here just to brag about your favorite console...is your hardware burning up really any better than a hack?
oh well i aint used my ps3 since i got my pc so no problem with psn on my end. my 360 is also gathering dust since i just finished gears3.
how about catch the hackers and then throw them in jail for the rest of there lives
You know what Sony? You need to get your **** together, you keep saying it's not your fault, well guess what now it kinda is. Sure mistakes happen because no one is perfect and while the ultimate blame falls on the hackers, you Sony still need to secure your damn network! The first hack, shame on the hackers, second hack (if it happens) is shame on Sony. I recommend that EVERYONE (even xbox live users) change thier passwords every now and then, just to be safe. You never know what can happen. And I hope noone get's hacked but just pretending that your service is "invincible" is just silly, anything can get hacked if someone really wants to try. So just be safe and make sure you protect your information. Because you never know... On another note, can someone PLEASE fire the host of this video? His "jokes" are annoying...
Sony says it's not their fault?! HAHAHAHAHAHA! (sigh) I'm glad I own and Xbox.
one bat hahaha..... two bats hahaha......
Johnny pain in the a**?:(
@shalconv http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdWkKKSckNk its a new ad from sony, tis awesome:D

Another hack?I want a PS3 and PSN but these hacks aren't securing my trust in a future purchase!
Will the host ever be changed? I do not get his style of presenting reading through a monotone then cracks a joke in between, is he making fun of the games, or is he making fun of the games, not even sure what that means, is he reviewing the game, anyhow, when do you think his time will come up?
Thank god they didn't hack on Xbox Live.
@ReadySebbyGo Thanks, it was awsome!
god, i hope all these Hackers just F****ING DIE, they should get them all together and make them into a huge Human Centipede,
@ban_fur Fair comment. I played Bioshock 1 on my PC using an Xbox controller and it was fine (looked better than B2 on Xbox). Not allowed to put PC in the living room under pain of death from wife. I'm aware that plenty of people plug their PC into their TV but not sure that the majority do or ever would.
and back on topic great show as usual, favorite vampire: Count Von Count.
@groovyreg the only problem with your argument is that i play most of my PC games on my 40" led TV lazily from my couch using my wireless mouse and keyboard or 360 controller.
I'm sorry to hear that Sony is under attack again. Online threats are one of the reasons for me to keep my XBox 360 offline at all times, although Microsoft didn't have such issues. I just keep my friends close, we play through system link in my room or on splitscreen. It's much better when you can see their reactions. Online play has it's risks, everyone has the choice to use it or not. If you expose yourself to a danger while knowing the risks than there should be no regrets later because IT WAS YOUR CHOICE!
I hate those hackers, I really hope they catch them soon. I don't feel comfortable at all as long as they're still around in general.
With regards to yesterday's mini flame war between PC and console players (inspired by Atari's Nolan Bushnell) I'd like to bring a bit of sanity to the debate. A decent PC is a more powerful gaming machine than either HD console - fact. Despite owning a fairly powerful PC I still play the majority of games on console because I can lounge about on the sofa playing on a huge Plasma screen. Convenience vs. performance? Convenience wins (because I'm a bit lazy).
That's the Sony - Michael trailer. YouTube it, it's great.
What is that video they play on the back with all the video game stars in a bar?
Johnny seems like the kind of guy who would own a kigu, probably a red fox by the looks of him. I'm not saying it's a bad thing as such; just that he seems like the type.
I'm just glad that Sony are being nice and up front about things right now and better yet telling us all affected accounts are getting locked. At least they're doing SOMETHING.
