Carolyn, Synthia and Chris take a look at some of the new Tomb Raider gameplay.
the only thing i dislike about this game is that ppl and objects disapear, really f***in hate this sort of thing.....but really gd game go play it
tomb raider looks and play like uncharted with additional element which are borrowed from other games.i am not saying the game is bad i don't think the game deserve all this hype.i hate REVENGENCE but at least it has innovation.
Thanks for that stream! I was 99% sure that this isn't Tomb Raider, and now I'm totally convinced. Good game though.
similar to tomb raider legends, the game developer totally miss the point in Tomb Raider as usual... sadly core design is gone and didn´t even work a little on this to make it more Tomb Raider and less war- adventure game.
its not a cry that you hear at night its not somebody who seen the light its a cold and its a broken hallelujah!
I've never been a big fan of Lara's adventures, but this one of the greatest games I've ever played. IMO, this game even beats the Uncharted series.
With Bioshock Infinite and Gears Judgement on my radar I simply don't have the kind of money just lying around to buy games on the fly, though it looks decent. Hopefully my friend will let me borrow his.
@TacticaI Personally i would place this above the new gears game. But i hear you, its a pain when you can only afford 1 or 2 games. And this month (and year, really) there is so much good stuff.
now i dont even feel like commenting about the game cause
you know "FEEDBACKULA" is done with this game...
I really enjoy the tight sequences, it brings a sense of tense moments. Ive gotten to the part where the snow first appears so far I am having fun playing tomb raider.
Very nice graphics, but annoying cut-scene interruptions, feels like an interactive action movie.
I've played about 4 or so hours of this game and it's amazing so far. Looks great, plays great, and just poking about the hub areas and exploring is a joy in itself. And it's got a pretty uncompromising feel to the combat- these guys are easily capable of doing horrible things so you have to show no mercy and use the odd dirty trick when fighting back- I particularly like using the 'Dirty Tricks' skill to throw dirt in their eyes while dodging.
For those of you who were interested in a chance at a "mystery Tomb Raider" reward, here's the contest: http://www.gamespot.com/features/tomb-raider-live-brain-bust-6404905/
Have you even played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune?
This game has poor textures and foliage looks terrible when you look at it up close. That is one thing I have noticed about non exclusive PS3 games the texturing looks fine until you stop moving and get a closer look at trees and buildings look half finished texture wise.
Carolyn, you did a great job of re directing and covering up that spoiler if you know what I am talking about!
WHY DO ALL THIRD PERSON ACTION GAMES HAVE TO PLAY THE SAME NOWADAYS!!!!? Bloody hell it's like this is the only type of system they teach third person games can use. Shoot cover, shoot, cover. health regenerates! Did we not have eras of gaming before that explored different approaches to gameplay?!
@LukeWesty In the case of this game though it can negate certain aspects... like hunting. I don't even know why they put hunting in the game since all you get is exp from it and eventually skill points which do nothing more than help you become a better hunter... for more exp. I would have thought there would have been some energy replinishing aspect to cooking and consuming meat and vegetation that you've gathered or at the very least a survival aspect to it such monitoring hunger and strength in general.
wtf, you buy a new game and then on day 1 they're selling dlc. f**king stupid. I thought you get that stuff when you pre-order, $60 isn't enough to walk out with a complete game. this trend MUST stop . pre-order is stupid and then I see the new assasins creed offers a double sided poster for pre-order, c'mon are they serious. and then on day one they're gonna sell some stupid s**t. the dlc for tomb raider, made me laugh, $1 for camouflage and numerous other stupid crap.

@queuing_for_PS4 I've played all Uncharted games, they are really good but this tomb raider its way better!!!
@lpool8 @God-of-Gaming I'm sure he realises that. It's just the approach to the game, it's gone away from being tomb raider in some ways and turned into something different. It looks great, but it doesn't seem like tomb raider anymore. I'm not a fan of reboots where the change the whole essence of the story and character
@Invertedzero @lpool8 @God-of-Gaming Sorry, but I feel that Tomb Raider needed a reboot. The classic games didn't evolve much anyways until Crystal Dynamics took over for TR: Legend. And I think they've done a great job with this one too.
@Invertedzero @lpool8 @God-of-Gaming That's kind of the point of a reboot. A fresh take on an old or stale idea. It's quite clear that Crystal Dynamic's and SE's intent is to introduce Lara to a new generation of gamers and re-acquaint veteran players with Tomb Raider of today as if it were the first game in the series.
Best Tomb Raider game in ages. Exploration, survival, shoots, and stunning visuals place this game sky high. Lara is beautiful.
Some elements taken from Dead Space series, but alas it worked. Really amazing work. Square Enix rocks. Great work guys.

@juliano001 funny how Square Enix can makes these types of games better than RPGs now. I'm not sure what this says about the state of game development or training.
SquEnix didn't make this, they published it. Crystal Dynamics developed it.
Why the hell does everything have to turn into a pseudo RPG with "EXP" everywhere?! ridiculous
@Invertedzero My guess would be they try hard to reward players for exploration of the game?
