GameSpot Presents: Now Playing - BioShock 2
- Feb 8, 2010
Giancarlo and Shaun get together and show us an early look at BioShock 2!
environments looked kinda boring and bland. Looked almost like a rerun of Bioshock 1. Not excited...yet *returning to ME 2*
I didn't see the meticulous attention to detail I saw before in the first Bioshock. Looks like a maps designed by Left4Dead mappers: they play well, but lack detail.
Cool game......that guy said in the end "PC, Xbox360, and the PS Triple" lol. That means PS3 is 3 times stronger than Xbox360.....hahaha
To everyone who's dumping on the video try to remember (if you played the first one) That bioshock isn't exactly a fast paced game, and that trying to show 15 minutes of action gameplay is pretty hard to do. Especially with big daddy fights which are suppose to be long and carefully planned encounters. And to those who're worried about the difficulty, remember the first Bioshock will by no means be remembered for it's difficulty. Even on it's hardest difficulty Rapture didn't pose as an imposing threat, and I don't think that ruined the atmosphere in the first one, so I don't think this game will be any different
nice game... as it is more easier than the 1st one which the hackin is more annoyin as u have to get injured jus to hack a bot ..
Thats the thing that aggravates me about making a game on consoles and pc. This game looks good but a little old, im not saying it looks terrible. Looks good but for a 2007 game, Consoles can't handle strong graphics. But thats the problem companies try to make all 3 the same, even though pc always wins. I say to any company, the pc can obviously handle better graphics, so why not allow the pc to excel rather to restrain it?
the engine was top notch in 2007, it now looks old. I understand consoles can't handle much more, but this game is gonna get a lower score on pc version.
Does anyone find it ironic that Andrew Ryan would create a way to censor the media in rapture considering that the entire point of rapture is that it is a place 'where the artist is not bound by the critic, the scientist is not bound by petty morality'? Anyway, I am definitely looking forward to this.
@ hbb2086 They thought about that... which is why there is now a BigSister. I really hope this game has a really good HUD. =)
Seriously... Couldn't they have had someone demo the game who's good at playing it? Also... Anybody else a little disappointed in the level-pack-iness of this long-awaited sequel? I mean, where's the new?
How could it be creepy when your walking around as a Giant robot? they should have made it as a stealth based game with dark enviroments.
@Fandango_Letho If there was a reload animation, you would be able to use plasmids. Its not laziness, it was a concious decison so that you can always have a weapon available to attack, instead of being trapped in animations. Nice show, but Bioshock is a game that has so much to offer, why limit the demo to just 15 minutes. I can understand they don't want to give things away, but it could have gone at least a half hour without giving away stuff. GT has thier new show Hour One, GS you need to compete with by offering more than 10 minute demo's.
He didn't pick up the audiovox because that would give away parts of the game that we probably don't want to know in this teaser. I love the way he reloads his eve...looks like it's just fed directly into his system and the machine gun looks SICK! God, I can't wait.
it's a Now Playing and this being Bioshock, i guess there's gonna be spoilers in every corner and he just said "might run into a spoiler territory. and ppl, Shaun's awesome. Didn't Subject Delta have a Daddy dash? i wonder how you can use that
I Loved the 1st bioshock... i dunno know about this one seems almost the same except for the part that you´re a big daddy... anyway let´s wait for Reviews
this guy is horrible at fps's don't mean to talk crap not everyone is good at them but i would much rather watch a good player game looks good though
Death animations are still choppy and jittery. No reloading animations? That's lazy. I dunno, his left hand could just return to normal to allow normal reloadings... It just seems wrong to me. I mean, Bioshock 1 was amazing, but still.
@-Critical- He didn't take the audiophile because he wasn't allowed to ruin the story, just show the gameplay. He was probably told by the devs to skip the audiophiles.
@ jeffar77, you can probably carry more as you progress. From what I remember from the first game almost everything was upgradable so I wouldn't be worried.
I noticed he said that he was "full" when he had 5 EVE hypo's. Does this mean we can only carry 5 of these now?
