Join Shaun and Max as they kick zombies across the screen, and punch them with fists of nails in Dead Island Riptide!
Seriously if you spend so much time in the sewers you should STOP gaming entirely. The sewers are maybe 1% of the whole game the rest was outside in the open maybe you where running in circle's but it's BS that the sewers where a huge part of the game. I do agree it was tedious but never long.
Would anyone purchase Dead Island: Riptide? Probably not in this economy ....
Would anyone rent Dead Island: Riptide for the weekend just to f@ck around with the game? Probably, unless you got something better to do (all I see is one new character, along with a few new zombies, until new content is available to download as a patch file and that only occurs if enough players demand it) ...
I gather most are going to rate this as just a violent cartoon of a game (just like Dead Island). If you're content with that? Have fun (If not? why whine in a comment section when you can start suggesting other games - such as Defiance, one of the better MMO Games if you're an Xbox 36 users) ...
@darkamor I'll be buying two copies once the price drops. I played the first one with my daughter and had a blast.I don't play zombie games for great story. I prefer less story and more zombies to smash, slice, dice, explode, and shoot.
grnsuperman4 - hey, I don't blame you for renting & waiting for the price of the game to drop (because you know it will in a few months) ... I had a blast playing with my Nephews (we needed a break from playing Defiance - which does require internet access to play even if you use a PC - xBox - Playstation) AND I agree with the Game Reviewers that playing "chuck norris" mode is a fun break from just shooting zombies ...
Check out Defiance, if you like shooting the enemy via teamwork
Gamespot reviewed this game as crappy and terrible yet make a 1 hour gameplay video? why? Do you really expect ppl to watch you for an hour playing a shit game? What's wrong with you people?
@heat_masheet So, we're not supposed to show people how games are bad? Don't you think it would be worse if we didn't?
@Giancarlo @heat_masheet This game a not for every gamer and for the people that love this genre the game is more like 8/10 atleast to me. I do understand a low rating but seriously a 4/10 is just stupid and does not give the game the credits it deserve's
@Giancarlo @heat_masheet That is what the review was supposed to illustrate. You rated the game as poor but still what to capitalise off it by making more videos. hmm.
I'm sorry but I liked Dead Island a lot more than Far Cry 3 or Borderlands 2.Those game were the biggest disappointments of the year for me and I played the crap out of Far Cry 2 and Borderlands 1. Is dead Island less clever and less thought out...sure is! But it's all about smacking zombies around and that's something I haven't enjoyed doing in a game since Resident Evil 3. Far Cry 3. Sometimes it's just about having plain simple fun in a video game again. I don't need big cinematic moments, or great dialogue. COD is nothing but cinematic moments and brain dead campaigns, and that always get great ratings.
Getting real tired of this "Zombie Apocalypse" Bullshit already... It's a old and overrused setting for most games that it's not even fun anymore.
expansion pack or not this still looks miles better than WD:survival instinct. on the subject of zombie games. you guys heard of microsoft exclusive game State of Decay?
played the first one, thought it was a cool idea very incompetently executed. all these bugs, all these hiccups.. the developpers should please explain to me why i should give the full retail price again for a mere update of the same oldness?? they can start expecting money from me again when they will bother to develop a new engine with less bugs and chaos. until then: lol @everyone who actually is giving money to this (or any) sequel.
@Episode23 It's not full retail price. They released it $10 cheaper and it's actually better in general than the original.
The zombie deaths were funny, but the rest of the game looks horrible!
Already have it, and even though it's more of the same, that's what makes it a blast to play. Screw the haters. If you're a zombie fan, pick this up.
Just played a good 2 hours. All it is is just one big DLC for the first one. Very little has changed. Somewhat of a let down
I'll get it even if it IS cheesy....chances might be high it get's banned again in germany and I better grab it before that happens
yes I am picking this up..the rigamortis edition for PS3...i don't listen to the reviews that IGN and Gamespot gave it either...after i play the game i'll judge
Same. I had....some enjoyment with dead island but not quiet enough to justify another £40 on a sequel.
I enjoyed Dead Island despite it's flaws, it has lots of potential to be fine tuned and evolve into something better but going upon the Gamespot review of Riptide think I'll be avoiding it until it comes out on sale price in a year or two.
I'm not sure, I didn't think much to Dead Island when I played it. I tried to like it but the constant need to find new weapons and being constantly swarmed by zombies while I could barely defend myself killed off a lot of the enjoyment. It definitely needed more refinement in areas.
