GameSpot gets their hands on the new DLC for Mass Effect 3 - Omega!

Just some random thoughts.I want that Flare as a bonus power. And when are we getting Lash from the mp as a bonus power? If that were mp, the person controlling Aria would be boned. Why is it that whenever people complain about ME 3, they automatically go to the ending? My biggest complaints were that they didn't make me feel like the galaxy was at war as well as they could have, didn't even include Kasumi and Zaeed from ME 2 and they didn't use the possibility that the Reapers could end everything to explore the squad's personalities even more. For example, Garrus has some daddy issues and yet his father is only brought up a few times. What is his name? There is a sixty year gap between Liara and Shepard and yet that barely gets any real mention. Shepard trusts a geth and Ashley is pretty much fine with it? I swear, I could write a blog about all the small things (pretty much extra dialogue and some cut scenes) that could have been added to give the characters more depth. And what about Shepard. If you're Earthborn, then you're fine but no mention of Mindoir for the Colonists? No spaceport for the Spacer to reflect on? Like I said, just some random thoughts. Oh and I wish to God that producer would have stopped trying to switch ammo types while being swarmed.

6 Like I don't get the point of ME3 DLC. Everyone is dead or stranded on earth at the end of the game. There's no point to DLC.
3 Like @DFL274 Agreed. There's no initiative to play this other than to play some fresh content in the game but the downer-ending would make me not even want to get this to begin with.
@Shelledfade1 @DFL274 I thought DLCs would make something like a new and better end for ME3. I even think that an bad ending would be a marketing tactic to make you want to alter the future with DLCs but it was not anything like that. And the galaxy is being torned appart, what omega have to do with that anyway? boring.
2 Like Mass effect lack luster DLC's are so boring, well expect for ME2's. Anyway, its like 20 bucks for 2 hours of gameplay. I regret paying for ME3's. It was two hours long. I'm saving my money for BO II, skyrims DLC and some others. When i play ME serise i need to play it from 1 to 3. And doing that for 2 extra hours of gameplay is not worth it. I'll wait till all ME3 is out then i'll do one more play through in the entire series IF i hear good things about like the shawdow broker.
What's the point of the these DLCs? When ending sucks, and ruins the whole game and franchise.
1 Like @stefip It`s a matter of opinion about the ending (didn`t suck for me) but you`re missing the point. It`s about tying up loose ends before the next chapters of Mass Effect.
@LatinproX @stefip Didn't suck for you? Casey said that the ending would be too much complex to count it all. But in reality we can count ME3 endings with a single hand. Got it? If he had'nt promised it would be easier to swallow.

I hope the storytelling is well done (of course it is, it's Mass Effect), because I haven't played ME3 in a long time, so seeing the same combat mechanics, though not a bad thing, are nothing to look especially forward to. Glad to see some unfamiliar skills, but I just don't know if I should buy this.

I'm going to act like a fanboy now and spill my brains here. I hope there's a continuity to the story, that Bioware doesn't end Mass Effect here and that there's going to make something out of the destruction ending cliffhanger. No ranting, I've made my peace. That is all.
It's a great game and will wait for more new content.
@xsonicchaos I actually used to think that Turians were a single sex species like the Asaris.
Man, every time this Soldier Shepherd performs a power, I keep thinking like a Vanguard (Charge, then follow up with a shotgun).
3 Like Mas Effect series is one of the best franchises I've experienced this gen regardless of the endings. NIce to see this DLC is more combat based. Would be nice to romance Aria! Lol!

Sure the best Location from Mass Effect 2, appears in ME 3 just as form of a DLC...nice workAnd i wondered why the fuck, Omega isn´t in ME 3 -.-
6 Like Regardless of the ending this is still one of my top series in video games and sci-fi.
@moyshirow To be honest I started the series with ME3 and instantly fell in love with the game.

@Shelledfade1 Just because its DLC doesn't make it automatically mean it should have been released with the original game.
2 Like @Link3301 @Shelledfade1 I agree with your overall idea, however playing the game it really felt like this(and the day one prothean dlc) was missing to me. There's a side-mission where you need to help get the required forces to take back Omega. I always found it weird that there was no follow-up, at least until I heard it was gonna be dlc. Up till now I gotta say that dlc was done better with ME2.
I knew that there would have been a DLC set on Omega at some point!... or ratherI hoped but thatis besides the point.
@DarthSithari well, it was hinted at in a comic and Aria's comments in the club on the Citadel.
This dlc looks pretty cool too bad I'm not really into playing another round of ME3 anytime soon maybe one day when I have extra change laying around I'll get this...
So my ps3 wont show up on my TV. And thin i tried to call Sony and see what wrong with it, (it wouldn't restore it would go to 4% and stop) the girl told me that i had to send it in. Which i don't want to do that, i was wondering if i buy a new hard drive, and thin see if it will fix it. I want to now, cuz i don't want to wast $50 on a hard drive and thin spend more to send it in. plz help me i would like to no.
It has been so long since I have played ME3.I loved the ending and the multiplayer but besides getting to play along side aria I'm not going to buy this dlc.
Finally! Been waiting for this one. Probably should have been part of the original game and not just a DLC, but I'm just glad to get it at all.
